This weekend, the ski community was devastated by news that Jackson’s Bryce Newcomb lost his battle with a traumatic brain injury. Newcomb was involved in a cornice collapse outside the Jackson Hole Resort's boundary in late March.

For anyone who knew Newcomb, one thing always stood out: his absolutely infectious energy both on and off the mountain. He truly lived by the motto of “SEND IT,” spreading his sense of humor and stoke and convincing all those who rode with him that anything was possible, whether it was sending that cliff, talking to that girl or guy, and mainly having a great time no matter what. It usually started with silly exchanges like the classic “Bryce to meet you,” but then evolved into something much deeper and a sense of sharing wonderful experiences in the mountains.

Here’s a collection of remembrances from those who knew and loved Bryce. From the Jackson Hole community, and far beyond, we will truly miss you.
