“Our bike park has been solely developed and built by a team of actual riders. The goal has always been to create the most authentic trails that riders will be excited about,” explains Hogan Koesis, bike park director, Angel Fire Resort. “The equal mix of man-made versus natural trails on our mountain is what most people who come to check us out, compliment us on. We strive to give all riders a great experience, which we’ve worked hard in the off-season to create.”

New for 2015

ANGEL FIRE BIKE PARK | MTBPARKS.COM

While the Angel Fire Bike Park has solidified its reputation with expert riders by hosting a series of races and events, including the 2013 Red Bull Dreamline event, the park’s goal this season is to engage more beginners and intermediates to the sport and expand its cross-country trail network throughout the town of Angel Fire and nearby National Forest.

The park will also expand its new blue trail, Devinci’s Code, by two additional miles. Construction on Devinci’s Code started in the fall of 2014 and will be open to the public at the 5th annual Gravity Games and Bikes, Blues and Brews Festival, which happens over Labor Day weekend. The park plans on trail re-designs which will focus primarily on sustainable drainage, increased flow and most importantly smoothing out many of the existing trails in the park. These additions will now offer riders, of all abilities, over 100 miles of new and enhanced trails.

“It’s been key to grow our bike park at a rate in which we can develop outstanding new riding trails while still being focused on making sure our current trails are kept in great riding conditions. To be able to have grown our total trail mileage by over 100% in the past three summers and now to be able to offer our guests over 100 total miles of riding is something we’re really proud of," said Hogan Koesis, director of Angel Fire Bike Park.
Additionally, the resort has invested in adding bike park carriers to the Chile Express chairlift for an easier and a no compromise experience transport up to the summit.
