Watch Adidas snowboarder Jake Blauvelt ride thigh-deep Alaskan pow faces and get inverted off cliffs in Canada and Japan in this fundraiser for backcountry education.

Known for his high-speed, technical riding and massive airs, the Vermont native and Oakley team member produced this iTunes movie for the Mountain Light Project. The Washington nonprofit works with the American Alpine Institute to offer free youth avalanche and backcountry education for children and young adults, including opportunities to ride with local professional snowboarders at Mount Baker.
