The past weekend saw Julian Wilson take home the top spot at the Billabong Tahiti Pro. Wilson took down Brazilian Gabriel Medina in a tight final heat. That wasn't the only piece of hardware to be handed out this weekend, however, the Andy Irons Most Committed Performance Award has been given to the surfer who puts the most on the line when it matters most. The award has been given out every year since Andy's death in 2011. Past winners include Jeremy Flores, CJ Hobgood, and Kelly Slater.

This year John John Florence took home the prize for the second time. You can tell in this video that the Hawaiian was deeply moved by the award and how Andy continues to inspire his career.
