Kai Lenny is the one of the youngest, most accomplished waterman in the ocean. Like Laird Hamilton before him, Lenny has been drawn by the lure of the SUP foil boarding. The technology uses a hydro-foil that remains under the water, which at certain speeds lifts the board and rider in the air.
Kai uses the SUP board on a 10 mile downwind paddle. The result is him literally flying over the water, surfing waves for over 300-yards in the air. Even for all the hate SUPing gets in the surf community, this looks like one hell of a time.
