Mesa, CO, July 19, 2018 – After stops in Moab, UT and Angle Fire, NM, the eminent SCOTT Enduro Cup mountain bike race is headed to Powderhorn Mountain Resort for the first time on Saturday, July 28. One of Colorado’s newest bike parks, Powderhorn features lift-served trails with big jumps, technical rock gardens and high speeds through forests of aspens that will test even the best riders. The series will wrap up with stops in Durango, CO on Aug. 11-12 and in Park City, UT on Aug. 25-26.
“Our bike park is built to complement the natural terrain of the mountain and offers incredible views of Plateau Valley,” said Ken Gart, co-owner of Powderhorn Mountain Resort and Colorado Bike Czar. “Riders have told us that Blue Ribbon is one of the best downhill trails in Colorado.”
Enduro Cup registration is open to men and women offering professional, expert, vet expert (35+), amateur and junior (under 18 and under 15) categories. Riders can choose to participate in the Powderhorn race for $125, unless they’ve already purchased a 2018 SCOTT Enduro Cup season pass. Registration fees will also include lift tickets for race day(s), when applicable.
"We are really looking forward to making our inaugural stop at Powderhown," said Craig Alles, SCOTT Enduro Cup Race Director. "Powderhorn has done a great job on their bike park that should make for a fun and challenging one-day enduro for all of our riders."
The SCOTT Enduro Cup presented by Vittoria will award $25,000 cash to the pro/open category throughout the 2018 series with an equal prize purse given to both men and women. Expert, amateur and junior categories will be awarded product provided by sponsors, SCOTT Sports, Vittoria and more.
