BIG BEAR LAKE, CA \u2013 Snow Summit Bike Park<\/strong><\/a> recently announced its official opening day for 2015 and pricing details for its 2015 dual-resort pass with Mammoth Bike Park<\/a><\/strong>. Details after the break.<\/p>

Buried in a blog post on spring skiing<\/a>,<\/strong> Snow Summit announced an official opening day of May 8 for the 2015 mountain bike season.<\/p>

\"We will be closing Snow Summit to prepare for our Mountain Bike Season which we are happy to announce will open Friday, May 8th,\" reads the post after mentioning a potential April 5 closing day for ski season.<\/p>

Offering the only lift-served downhill riding in Southern California, Snow Summit currently features approximately five miles of trails and 1,200 feet of vert, but recently announced plans to expand based on Gravity Logic, Inc.<\/a><\/strong>'s master plan along with news of the resort being acquired by Mammoth Mountain<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>

The first new trail\u2014scheduled to open in 2015\u2014will be a four-mile green flow trail off the top of the mountain. <\/p>

Mammoth and Snow Summit are also releasing a dual-resort pass similar to the Cali4nia Ski Pass<\/a><\/strong> good for both bike parks. Available beginning March 23, the pass will be priced at $399 for adults and $199 for children for the 2015 summer season. Winter season pass holders can pick up the pass at $325 ($149 for kids) before April 30 and $349 ($179 for kids) after that.<\/p>
