Thayne Rich: Skier By Day, Ski Builder By Night

Next Up

One of the most common question many pro skiers get asked is: “What do you do in real life?” For Thayne Rich, its not all just skiing big backcountry lines like those in TGR’s Rogue Elements. Over the summer, he dedicates his time to shaping and building skis in 4FRNT’s ski factory, the White Room. This unique facility in Thayne’s hometown, Salt Lake City, allows him to meticulously craft the skis he rides all winter, tweaking the fine details like tip shape, rocker profile and flex patterns. To him, it makes all the difference when it comes time to drop in.
