Central Chile has had a rough start to the winter. The Chilean North Face Freeride Championships at El Colorado were cancelled because the venue is literally covered in dirt. Valle Nevado postponed its opening until July 17th.
With warm temperatures preventing any great powder days, North Face riders Clint Allan and Roland Morley-Brown ditched Santiago and headed south. A storm system hammered Termas de Chillan and Nevados de Chillan, but unfortunately, so did the wind.
Finally, after getting skunked twice, they enlist local snowmobile guide owner of Dos Tiempos Cristian Wehrhahn to help them score untouched stashes in the Andes.
