The return of slopestyle certainly put the icing on the cake for a week of two-wheeled excitement down in Rotorua. It was anyone’s game with a stacked lineup of riders ranging from Slopestyle World Champion Brett Rheeder, 2018 Triple Crown Winner Nicholi Rogatkin, to a long list of seasoned veterans like Thomas Genon and Anthony Messere.
It was a massive course with a daunting collection of jumps that knocked a few competitors off their feet. One rider who had no problem keeping the rubber side down was none other than Rheeder, who was rather busy this winter filming and training throughout the offseason. It showed. Rheeder executed a nearly flawless run that bumped him into the top position. Despite Tomas Lemoine and Alex Alanko’s best attempts to topple him, Rheeder ultimately walked away as the champion. Watch the madman at work with his winning run.
