Max Parrot became the first person in history to land a Switch Quadruple Underflip 1620. It has been a couple weeks of serious progression with Billy Morgan landing a 1800 Backside Quadruple Cork. "It was a dream for me when I first started competing internationally, to push the boundaries of snowboarding. I have been visualizing this trick for a few months and when the opportunity presented itself this season, I felt it was the right time" said Parrot about the feat.
This type of riding makes for great video, but it does beg the question is this type of progression sustainable. Transworld Snowboarding interviewed a physicist about the number of corks possible, placing a hypothetical cap on the sport. At the same time snowboarding is witnessing a divergent movement, with groups like the Yawgoons showcasing a completely different type of progressive riding.
